Flower Crown Headband

Summer’s finally here which means more sunny days and beach sand and one of my favorite summer perks are flowers crowns. I have prepared a tutorial to show you how to create a beautiful flower headband. I love how pretty the flower crowns are and they are very easy to make as well. Flower crowns are great versatile fashion items. The awesome thing is you can make these headbands to match every season and occasion of the year depending on the colors you use. Try making your own flower headband this summer for a cute and fun look!

You will need:

Elastic band (available at most craft stores.)

Artificial flowers  (When looking for artificial flowers, be on the lookout for colorful varieties that hold their shape)

Hot glue gun

Scissors

Needle and thread

Directions:

The first step is to take your elastic band and measure the circumference of your head with it. Once you have measured your size cut the band.

Then you want to bring both ends of the elastic together and stitch them with your needle and thread.

Dismantle each flower by giving them a little tug to remove them from the steam. For a smooth look make sure to cut the back stem from the flower. Then place these flowers into a pile.

Next is the fun start gluing each flower individually to the elastic band use one dab of glue per flower and then firmly press them against the band, add as many flower as you like around the elastic band until you are happy with the finished product and once you have achieved you desired look get creative with our flowers add different colors also make sure you place the flowers very closely to each other to make sure none of the elastic band is exposed thru the flowers.

I decided to make hydrangeas my personal flower choice so instead of gluing each flower individually to my band, I glued each flower to one another in a layered format. These flowers are flat without the bulk, so they need to be layered to appear thick and full.  Once I layered them to my liking I glued them to the band ( this method with only work with thin flowers without bulk.)Flower Headband (22 of 13)Flower Headband #6Flower Headband (24 of 13)

YAY! You did it! Now, admire your creation.
